What's for dinner?

Mil has ran out of idea what to prepare for dinner, especially with hubby at home. Meaning if hub is taking dinner at home, she has to crack her head pretty hard to think of what to cook for 'this' fussy eater. Well, I can't simply sit back and do nothing as I know hub's mood gets affected if he didn't have a good dinner. Started two weeks ago, I have been preparing a dish or two before the night (standby just in case), mostly those dishes require marinating. As soon as I m back home from work, quickly change into home attire, went straight to the kitchen and start with the cooking. Though I am tired after a day at work, I am happy to cook for them and I really feel a sense of satisfaction when I see my family enjoys the dinner.

Here are few of the dishes to share...

Stuffed Sotong in Assam Pedas

Chicken Teriyaki

Asparagus with sambal hae-bee

Steamed Tofu Minced Meat in Gochujang Sauce

Japanese Curry Chicken Rice

We had Japanese Curry Chicken Rice for our lunch yesterday. I used the Jap curry mix bought from Meidi-ya Jap supermart at Liang Court. Is so easy to cook. I just need to follow the instructions on the box. I cooked a big pot and brought some for my parents in the evening to share with them. All family members loved it very much.

Crabby for Supper

This was done quite sometimes ago. Steamed some crabs for Dh for his supper, being his off day that day. Well, he personally prefers steaming method whereby I prefer chilli and pepper crabs instead. I love dipping the fried 'man-tou' into the chilli crabby sauce.... yum yum...

Esparto 123 Chicken

Made Esparto123 using chicken instead of spareribs and the taste was marvellous. My family love it very much. I cut down on sugar to suit my family.

Sushi Making at home....

Just couldn't believe that I could make my own sushi one day. Have to thanks Lee Lee for it, it's her credit. Beside showing me how to cook sushi rice the correct way, which is very important, she has showed me how the rice is being wrapped up and cut nicely.

Nasi Lemak for dinner.....

Attended a cooking class organised by ds's sch. The chef taught us how to cook Nasi Lemak rice, how to kill crabs and cook them in different ways, be it steaming, chilli or blackpepper! The last two dishes he taught were the boiled prawns and sauteed veg. The ready made chilli sauce and blackpepper sauce for cooking the crabs are supplied from his factory. His company is in the food manufacturing industry which produce all kinds of sauce. I got myself a few bottles at special price. My children loves to dip the fried mao-tou into the chillie crabs, is yummy! I've yet to try out the blackpepper one. Maybe pretty soon....
